I've read some of the negative comments from other reviewers on this site and frankly can't believe most of it. The staff were really professional, extremely helpful, facilities were as described and more, rooms were very clean etc, particularly the bathrooms. OK so there is a 20 minute walk into town but hey, this is Portugal, the weather's fine and there's plenty to take in on the way. Coming back you will encounter the long hill but by then you'd have had a couple of drinks anyway and may even get a taxi back which will cost all of 5 euros!. There were 6 of us chaps on this visit ranging in age from 28 to 46 and none of us had ANYTHING bad whatsoever to say about this place. For the price you pay for this 3 star hotel you can't go wrong. For all those other moaners winging about the hill and stuff, I say get a life.

Top Tip:
Have a couple of drinks in the hotel bar at about 8pm, stroll down to the restaurant square in town, eat at one of the many restaurants, even better, check out all the side streets and back roads, we found a superb Indian restaurant. If it's busy bars and clubs you want then take a 10 minute taxi ride to the Docks area.
