For a budget hotel the Princesa was excellent value for money. Beds were very comfy & room had air con. All the staff were friendly & helpful. Despite what we had read in other reviews, we thought the breakfasts were good. Position good for transport. 790 bus goes from right outside into city & drops you back in same place. Post Office for travel tickets next door. There are several good & cheap restaurants close by (our favourite Sta Cruz - left out of hotel, past P.O. to lights, turn left & it's on the other side of the road. Only a couple of mins walk) Tram 28 as suggested in guide books is good, but 12 is shorter & an easy circuit. Beware of pickpockets when getting on trams, they try to push between couples to target pockets etc. They had 2 failed attempts with us in the 3 days we were there!
