Pleasant, modern, clean hotel. Friendly helpful staff
Top Tip
Brief stay so didn't find anything to see or places to eat in immediate vicinity. €4,50 taxi to riverfront or 20 minute walk to squares with restaurants.
Beware of teams of young (Romanian?) pickpockets nearby.

The hotel is located about 10-15 minutes walk from the old town . This walk involves a continuous slight upward slope when returning to the hotel which some may find difficult in the heat of summer.Apart from that you could not wish for a better hotel in this price range . As mentioned in other reviews which I have read for the hotel the staff really are exceptional in providing a friendly service.
Top Tip
The Hard Rock Cafe is located about 250m from the hotel. We visited it twice during our stay. If good (live) music , good food and a good atmosphere is your thing then dont miss it !

Great hotel, staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel menu a little pricey compared to local restaurants. Central enough but a good 15-20 minute walk uphill from downtown although a metro stop is available right outside hotel.
Top Tip
Definitely visit the Columbo Shopping Centre, Vasco Da Gama Shopping Centre and the Expo area. The Hard Rock Cafe downtown is a lively spot, a great buzz and loads around.

Far superior to what we expected. Bedroom was lovely with high quality modern fittings as was the rest of the hotel. Staff superb.
Top Tip
For eating out, check out the little streets near the top of the funicular (turn left when you alight). No fancy fronts, but wherever the place is busy, the food is likely to be good. Excellent for fish.

Ideally located. Good hotel for a long weekend stay, although on a main road little traffic noise. Metro station very close by (one entrance opposite front of hotel)
