We would definitely return to Lisbon and would recommend Hotel Veneza to our friends. Very good value for money.

Public Transport Travel card is a MUST and also obtain Taxi Voucher to guarantee cost. Wear comfy rubber soled flat shoes as pavements can be slippery and uneven.

Great location and recommend the airport bus which drops you off just down from the hotel - 3 euros for a day pass!

Good location, easily walkable distance to main sights. Very close to one of the Aerobus stops (the bus that takes you to & from the airport). Room was a little small, compared to the bathroom, and the sloping ceiling resulted in some bruises.
Top Tip
This hotel is a short walk from the Rua Santo Antao where there are loads of good restaurants & bars.
Don't miss the round trip on the No. 28 tram - especially good value if you get a day travel card from the machines in the metro stations.

Rooms at the front were very quiet despite being on a busy main route, to the centre, the leafy aspect of the avenue cuts down on the potential noise along with triple glazed windows and give an good view of daily life in the centre. This hotel is a must for those travellers who want to escape the skyskraper hotels and enjoy wandering around to discover a city, all the major areas of interest are well within an enjoyable 10-15 minute walk down and around a tree lined boulevard with great shops and bars around.

Best dinner and most value for money was at the little street side cafe just down from the hotel turn right upon leaving the front and walk for 5 min's towards the metro station. Great grilled fish, great location on the Avenue under the shade of the trees and best Caprinia's of the holiday !

Great value for money, perfect location for the old town, main sites

Bairro Alto very lively on the Saturday night, dead during the day. Buy a daily transport ticket, trams are good. Pastalarias - little self-service cafes were good

Great location. Some staff very good, others less so, but not a problem. Breakfast fine, thoiugh coffee not up to my wife's standards! Good for short stay in the city.
Top Tip
Good restaurants nearby - Dom Sancho and the shellfish restaurant down the road (forgotten the name). Look like a cafeteria but does great lobster.

Very helpful reception staff who were happy to advise on transport, places to see, checking on flights etc.
Very clean room - we chose the 'quiet, non-smoking' which gave us a room with no view! However they would have moved us quite happily.
Top Tip
Lots of local restaurants - spoilt for choice. Belem is certainly a good place to visit - N0.15 tram.

Staff spoke good English and were very helpful. On my birthday they delivered a bottle of sparkling wine and a bowl of fruit to my room - a lovely surprise. There was a good choice of food at the breakfast buffet. The central location made the hotel ideal for seeing all the main sites, walking or on public transport. From the airport, the aerobus (3euros) takes you almost to the door of the hotel.

The pastelaria Bela Ipenima, just down the road from the hotel has excellent food at reasonable prices (and is very handy when it rains!) A good guide book will point out all the interesting sights - we managed most in 4 days.
