Our room overlooked a street and there was quite a lot of noise during the night. Some revellers, but mostly street maintenance and rubbish collections.

We used public transport a lot which was cheap and punctual. We enjoyed a visit to Cascais by train and then caught a bus to Sintra.

Booked into room 703 a " Classic Double " room.Nothing classic about this room. The main complaint about the room was the small window at eye level which did not offer a view. Also it was an ill fitting sash type window which was not double glazed, consequently we were disturbed by people partying on the pedestrian precinct 7 floors below until 4 am.The room also did not have coffeee making facilities,a hair dryer or ironing board.
Hotel was full so were unable to move room. All in all , for the room we had this hotel offered poor value for money.
Super location. Everything is on your door step.

4* rating. I don't think so expensive for the facilities. No tea making facility in the room or hair dryer for the ladies. Watch the standard of room you book. Clean hotel with bar and acceptable breakfast.(3*) Very well positioned.
Take a cab from Airport (departures to miss the queue)
15Euro. Or Orient station. Walk down the road get on a No.28 Tram the round trip will give you a good idea of your bearings.

In the restaurant district the food in the few nice restaurants was 3 times plus the cost of the small ones and no better. 40 euro with wine. They were all similar.
