All rooms have a bath and the twins can take an extra bed for a third person.
Original furnishings from 1920s give the hotel feel of authenticity.
Our Review
This is a small hotel with few facilities but it doesn't really matter so much when taking location into account. The fact that the hotel lacks a restaurant is not so much of an issue as it is located amongst some of Lisbon's top bars and restaurants. Don't worry though as the double glazing in the front rooms should insulate most of the noise coming in from the street during the night.
The Metropole Hotel is a small, traditional building with a narrow entrance. The facade is pale yellow and white, with balconies and plaster decorations - very typical of the beginning of the century. The guestrooms are shared over 5 floors and all are large and in very good condition. The decor reflects a 1920's style and the bathrooms are large and in grey marble. The hotel reception area is cosy, with decor that provides a refined atmosphere. There is a bar and sitting room on the first floor and guests can also enjoy a nice breakfast every morning in the hotel dining room. This is a pleasant hotel, providing a good standard of both comfort and service.
